ABOUT THE CENTER FOR ORIENTATION & TRANSITION PROGRAMS

As a first-year student, your transition to KU is at once exciting and challenging. It’s a time to find your community, meet new people, explore fresh ideas, and earn your degree among scholars and experts leading their fields.

The Center for Orientation & Transition Programs is dedicated to guiding you as you navigate these first-year milestones. As a part of the Centers for Orientation and Academic Advising Programs, OTP oversees various Orientation events for domestic undergraduate students, welcome programs like Hawk Week, and other first-year opportunities meant to inspire purposeful KU careers.

Our Orientation Assistants are current KU students who will be with you throughout your session, answering questions, offering advice, and preparing you for Jayhawk life.
